Where would Ferdinand Magellan have ended up without his trusty map? Hmm, maybe “trusty” isn’t the best adjective, as it lead him to his demise in the Philippines. But it was necessary nonetheless! Err… the map. Anyway, what I’m trying to get at is that a map is of the utmost importance while exploring.
What’s this got to do with CleanMyMac? Well, think of CleanMyMac is an explorer. It climbs the hills of your Music folder, trekking poles in-hand, to get a sunset view of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On in your iTunes Library while searching for junk to remove from your Mac. It’s got a tough job (seriously). But, it’s also got a secret weapon that helps it spelunk the depths of your Mac. And no, it’s not a headlamp…
It’s the CleanMyMac Safety Database.
A new app called Listen has joined MacPaw. It’s a free music player for iOS that you control with gestures… You know, like: swipe up, swipe down, swipe on, swipe off (Mr. Miyagi would be proud). The controls are so simple that you don’t even need to look at the app to use it, making it amazing for when you’re on your way to work, exercising, or just plain on the go. You can create your own playlist in-app quickly and easily, and it makes all your wildest dreams come true.* Anyway, you can read more about it On the App Store.
It’s been a long week. There have been many meetings and our coffee consumption has been through the roof. The result of it all? MacPaw has arrived at the decision to officially shut down Ensoul Contacts, Ensoul Wallpapers, and Ensoul.me. It was not an easy choice and it comes with great sadness, however, we feel that it’s necessary for the time being.

How to tell if your Mac is ready for the Wave
Mac has changed their trend of OS X names. They’ve moved from big cats to locations in California. And oh man, does Apple have taste. They’ve picked the surf spot Mavericks as the name for the newest version of OS X. I’m completely biased (because I’m a surfer) but if their upgrade is anything like this wave, you’re going to want to get OS X Mavericks. With the new OS X rapidly approaching you may ask yourself, “How do I get ready for the OS X Mavericks’ release?" Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. As for why you should upgrade to OS X Mavericks, don’t worry, we’ve got that covered too. So, what exactly do you need?
If you haven’t heard about Mavericks, let us be the first to inform you. Apple is releasing a brand new operating system for Mac called OS X Mavericks. It looks fantastic. So fantastic that we figured we’d give you guys an idea of the features and a look at some of the benefits. Without further ado, here are the upgrades that caught our attention.
